It’s easy to update your profile information on Instacart.
Updating profile information
To change your name, email address, or phone number, follow these directions.
In-app—
- Tap the Account icon in the upper right corner.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Personal information.
- Tap the information you’d like to change.
- Update the information and tap Save.
On the website—
- Click the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner.
- Click Account settings.
- Click Your account settings.
- Click Change or Create next to the information you’d like to update.
- Update the information and click Save.
If you use Facebook or Google to log into your account, you have to update your information in those accounts.
Updating delivery address
You can add, update, or remove delivery addresses on the Instacart homepage or in your account settings.
On the homepage—
Select the address at the top of the screen.
- To add an address, enter the address in the Add a new address bar and tap Save Address.
- To edit an address, select Edit beside it, make changes, and tap Save Address.
- To remove an address, select Edit beside it and tap Delete address.
In your account settings—
- Select Account in-app or the 3 horizontal lines on the website.
- Select Settings in-app or Your account settings on the website.
- Select Address(es).
To add an address—
- Type in the address.
- Select the correct address from populated addresses.
- Make sure the pin on the map matches the correct location.
- If the pin doesn’t match, tap Adjust pin to move the pin to the correct location.
- Save map location.
- Select Save address.
To edit an address—
- Select Edit next to the address.
- Make any changes.
- Select Save Address.
To remove an address—
- Select Edit next to the address.
- Select Delete address.
You can also include delivery instructions for specific addresses in this section.
Please note that address changes apply to orders placed after you make the updates. If you have an order in progress and the delivery address is incorrect, please contact support. We can update it for an order in progress unless—
- The order has alcohol or high-value items
- It’s a certified delivery
- A shopper is assigned
- The new address is in a different zone
In these cases, you have to cancel your current order and place a new one with the correct address.
